Driven by their passion for “creating unique, innovative and quality design that delivered delight to the users”, the couple Vinod and Ranju Singhi laid the foundation of the firm Basics in 2004.

With humble beginnings in their living room cum studio, the highly talented young architect couple soon became popular for their penchant to deeply research and understand the needs of the stakeholders and combine it with the environmental, cultural and historical context to design spaces that were not only unique but also entirely human centric, and sustainable.

The story of BASICS started with a young architect couple who wanted to use the power of Design to bring about a change in the way spaces were created, from being boring monolithic standalone brickworks to unique and sustainable living and workspaces that were in harmony with their environment and were empathetic to the needs of their occupants, rather than just the creators.

The journey of Basics has taken the Team across the country, creating innovative Office spaces that bring company culture to life, harmonious Residences that exuded the personality of their residents and sprawling school campus’s that brought a new meaning to how children learn and thrive in an stimulating and peaceful environment. But the common thread that bound all the projects was always the Delight that they brought to those who dwelled in them and the Pride in the Stakeholders who created them.

This philosophy has since then been what defines Basics, a team and community of innovators, designers and engineers, who are intertwined in their passion for “Design that Delivers”.
